Make a real difference in the lives of young people by sharing your business and professional expertise during our Career Day with NFTE students at Goddard Middle School 202.
Middle School 202 strives to provide students with meaningful learning experiences that encourage and motivate them as they continue their life journeys. In view of that, professionals from a wide range of careers are invited to share their academic backgrounds and professional work experiences as Keynote Speakers at Career Day. As a Keynote Speaker, you will be asked to address 2-3 different 8th grade classes. Each Keynote Speaker will talk for 10-15 minutes per class, focusing on the following topics:
- Background: Where did you grow up and how did it influence your life? Did you attend college? If so, where, and why?
- Career: What is your current career? What inspired you to choose this career? What are your day-to-day responsibilities?
- Closing: What advice can you impart to our students? What do you believe is the single most important thing every student needs to be successful?
Your participation in Career Day at Middle School 202 will be a highlight of the event. Our goal for Career Day is to provide the future generation with the necessary guidance, encouragement, and motivation they need to be successful in college, work, and beyond!
Spanish-speaking volunteers are encouraged to apply.
