NFTE offers a variety of volunteer opportunities that match volunteer expertise and availability to program activities. Some of NFTE’s high impact roles, such as business advising and coaching, offer volunteers the opportunity to share business and personal insights with students in a one-on-one or small group setting. Because these interactions encourage individual conversations and sometimes personal sharing with minors, they may require a background check for volunteers depending on the role and the setting. Background checks for applicable volunteers are automatically repeated monthly and must be resubmitted by volunteers on an annual basis.
