2025 NFTE Capital Virtual Judge with Falls Church High School-(Virtual)

Empower a young person to start their entrepreneurial journey to a better future. NFTE ignites the entrepreneurial mindset with unique learning experiences that empower students to own their futures. We rely on volunteers from the business and entrepreneurial community to bring real-world insights and expertise to the classroom experience. 

Each spring, students from around the Capital region are invited to take part in our Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge (RYEC) and display their amazing work from NFTE partners across the region. Before the Capital RYEC kicks off in May, Fall Church HS is hosting a school competetion to decide their school's top students business plans for their Entrepreneurship 2 students.  See the details below.  

Competition Judging Location, Date, and Time:   

Location: Virtual via Zoom
Dates:  Thursday, May 1, 2025 
Time: 11:25 AM-12:15 PM ET 
Volunteer Role: Dedicated NFTE volunteers will serve as in-person judges as students present their 10-minute business plan and pitch.  Volunteers will use a rubric to evaluate the students' pitches. 
 

How to prepare: 

• Once confirmed, you will receive an official calendar invite.
• NFTE will provide you with the setup and additional volunteer materials for the session at least 2 days in advance. 
• You do not need to prepare any materials ahead of time -- just your own career knowledge and passion for connecting with the next generation of leaders.
