2023 NFTE West Road to Nationals Virtual Coaching
Volunteers are critical to every NFTE student’s learning experience. They bring concepts and ideas to life and connect the classroom to today’s changing work environment. As students prepare for the NFTE National Entrepreneurship Challenge, connecting with a business professional to move their business concept and presentation forward is immeasurably valuable.
As a Road to Nationals Coach, you will be working with one of the West Regional winners that are preparing to head into the next stage of the competition: The National Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge. Students need your help perfecting their presentations, refining their pitches, and practicing their responses to possible questions from judges.
Coaching Sessions Date and Time:
Time: All sessions will occur from 5:30 - 6:30 PM PST
Dates:
- Tuesday, August 22:Coaching Focus - Problem Opportunity, Value Proposition, and Underlying Magic
- Tuesday, August 29: Coaching Focus - Target Market, Marketing Plan, and Competitive Analysis
- Tuesday, September 5: Coaching Focus - Qualifications, Cost Structure, and Current Status & Future Plans
- Tuesday, September 12: Mock Judging Panel with Feedback and Q&A
- Tuesday, September 19: Road to Nationals Send Send-OffCelebration!
Tech requirements:
- Device (computer or tablet) with a camera and mic, you must be 'camera ready'
- Strong internet connection for a webconference
- Ability to connect to Zoom videoconferencing, this may require using your personal device if your organization blocks Zoom
How to prepare:
- NFTE will provide you with the setup and additional workshop materials for the session at least 2 days in advance.
- NFTE will provide you with a calendar and Zoom link upon your confirmation as a coach.
