As students make progress on their business plan, you will have the opportunity to help them refine their ideas and get ready to pitch their idea. As a business plan coach, you will have the opportunity to help students finalize their business plans (with a focus on the marketing plan, competitive analysis, qualifications, cost structure, and current/future plans section of their plan). For many students, this individualized coaching is the boost they need to cross the finish line and complete their plan.
Due to the incredible amount of support and interest from our volunteer community, this opportunity is set as 'express interest' and your registration will be confirmed on an ongoing basis. You are welcomed to express interest in one or more sessions, however, NFTE does reserve the right to only approve one minimally depending on the volume of volunteer sign-ups.
Tech requirements:
- Device (computer or tablet) with a camera and mic, you must be 'camera ready'
- Strong internet connection for a web-conference
- Ability to connect to Zoom videoconferencing, this may require using your personal device if your organization blocks Zoom
Once confirmed, you will receive an official calendar invite with the Zoom link. You do not need to prepare any materials ahead of time -- just your own career knowledge and passion for connecting with the next generation of leaders. A 30-minute orientation for coaches will take place at the beginning of the event, which is already included in your two-hour volunteer commitment.
