NFTE NYM Business Coaching with Perth Amboy HS 2021
Empower a young person start their entrepreneurial journey to a better future. NFTE activates the entrepreneurial mindset and builds startup skills in youth from under-resourced communities to ensure their success and to create a more vibrant society. We rely on volunteers from the business and entrepreneurial community to bring real-world insights and expertise to the classroom experience.
Business Idea Generation & Validation Workshop:
As a business Coach, you will be assisting a small group of students as they develop and/or validate an innovative business opportunity. The session objective as you work with the students is as follows:
- Finalize their business idea
- Make the recommended edits/corrections to their lean canvas and opportunity recognition, business financials, and pitch sections for their business plan

Time: 3:30 PM-5:00 PM ET
Agenda:
3:30 – 4:00 p.m.: Volunteer Overview
4:00 - 4:10 p.m.: Coaches and students meet (Icebreaker and expectations)
4:10 – 5:00 p.m.: Review lean canvas/slides, give feedback and make changes to the following:
- Cost Structure
- Revenue Streams
- Practice Introduction and Fast Pitch
