NFTE Chicago & Midwest Quarterfinals Coaching Day

Across Chicago and surrounding the Midwest cities of Detroit, Flint, Youngstown, Akron, Cleveland, Omaha, Milwaukee, and Beloit, Wisconsin, NFTE students have been developing original business opportunity pitches in preparation for the NFTE Regional Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge series.

Quarterfinals Coaching Day

On Saturday, May 1st we are bringing together coaches and students to review and help students rehearse their business opportunity pitches, run through mock judging scenarios, and work on their public speaking and presentation skills one last time prior to the Regional Quarterfinals and Semifinals competition.

Each coach will be asked to help students:
  • Format and standardize their pitch decks

  • Utilize the judging rubric to review, edit and maximize their verbal pitch, including virtual techniques for zoom pitching

  • Ask leading questions of students to help prepare them for judges questions

  • And provide students with feedback to help them successfully navigate the challenge series event.

We will have between 24-48 student businesses who will have qualified for the Quarter-Final round, and they need your help!

NFTE will provide all coaches with preparation materials via email the week prior to the event, and will host a training session at the beginning of the event.  Coaches will also be provided copies of the student decks to review with them virtually.

**This year the event will be hosted virtually.  Please come prepared to be there for the whole session and camera ready.**
