Since 2007, NFTE Greater LA has provided more than 12,000 students across the Los Angeles Metro area with the tools and mindset necessary to prepare for successful futures in school, college and the workforce.
We deliver entrepreneurial programming to 26 middle schools, high schools, and youth organizations in the Greater Los Angeles area. We have program sites in Downtown, South LA, West LA, Pasadena, Pomona, and San Fernando Valley.
Volunteers are essential to the student experience. Our volunteer-guided field trips to local businesses and class visits from entrepreneurs and business professionals help students to connect their classroom learning to the world around them. During our culminating events of the year, volunteer judges offer validation and authenticity to the student business plan competition series.
Vincent Quigg, Founder of TechWorld: “NFTE has provided me all the education and mentors I need to make my dreams a reality. These opportunities have allowed me to explore all the possibilities and what can happen if you put your mind to it.”
Antonia Castro, Founder of Cool Sleeve: “The most important thing that NFTE has taught me was to never give up. Throughout this process there have been many problems with my business, but NFTE has taught me to really have the confidence in myself to keep pushing forward. Being in the NFTE program has definitely opened many doors for me and shifted my direction in life. I’m now excited to start college and major in Business and Finance.”
